Are Coloring Books Nerdy? Are Aliens Taking Over the Blog??

Hey all, Aggroe here!

Today I want to talk about something that I've begun to really enjoy in the last year or so. As some of you may know, I like to draw a LOT. However it's so time consuming and I'm not always in the right state of mind for it, so instead I will usually color. Now I wouldn't bring this up if it didn't relate to the blog in some way, so here's a few pictures of one of my newest coloring book!

I've started coloring in this book and it's just amazing! There are multiple different art styles and it's a lot of fun to have all the iconic scenes in your own version. One of my favorite things about the Alien series is the aesthetic, and getting to add to that in whatever way I see fit is a lot of fun. Plus I love the terror this series evokes, even nowadays it's still creepy!

So fun story time, as a kid I initially thought SciFi was boring and pointless, but when I was introduced to the X-Files and that was the SHIT! I love that show to death even now that I'm older! X-Files cultivated my love of SciFi and built up a curiosity deep within me; a drive to learn more about the world and about the universe.

The first time I watched the Alien series, I think I was too young; kept falling asleep. I didn't understand what was going on, and didn't really care. But recently I rewatched them with family and holy shit was I missing out!

So now, a bit of a tone change. I'm moving on to the 30 day challenge, and day 2 is: my favorite video game character!

Which is an incredibly hard choice. Do I go with Makoto Naegi, Enoshima Junko, Monokuma, or Fujisaki Chihiro from DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc? Or maybe a classic, like Link, Mario, or Sonic? Maybe someone from a game I've played more times than I can count, someone like Celia from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life?

I think though, ultimately, when considering this question I have to think of what character I can relate to, what character I understand, a character who's funny and quirky and maybe a little bit awkward. Not the main character, but a character who was there for the protagonist every step of the way, no matter what. A truly loyal friend, and a brave soul. Someone who isn't afraid to speak the truth but also genuinely cares about others.

Maybe I'm biased; after all I just put about 50 hours into this series, for the third time, and beat the whole series in just a few days.

But at this time I would have to pick Garrus, from the Mass Effect Trilogy.
I like the storyline of him with both male and female Shepard. Either way they have a truly strong friendship, no matter what happens. He's loyal, brave, strong, and some of his commentary is just hilarious! Though Mordin, Joker, Dr. Chakwas, and Liara are all tied for second place. Really I just love the whole crew, especially the early ones who start and end with Shepard.

The story of the three games was executed well I thought, and I like how often the game made fun of itself, for example one of the last scenes in the Citadel DLC during Mass Effect 3 when Shepard and co are stuck in the vaults. I won't spoil anything but it's comic gold!

That's about all I have for you guys tonight, I'm pretty exhausted and have work in the morning, but I hope you all sleep well and have sweet dreams~!

Depressed? Not Anymore!

Yo!
Good evening everyone! Or good morning for me maybe because I just woke up. Aggroe and I have been waking up early to go to the gym and I guess today it got to me and I passed out early.
I didn't really do anything geeky today (Mostly chores and working out).
I ended up going through all of the pictures on my iPod (over 2,000) and imported them to my computer. To my surprise it didn't import them all the way. I found this out AFTER I deleted all the photos from now dated back to my senior year of high school. So I'm pretty depressed that I lost so many memories.
I did say that I was leaving for my parents house today but unfortunately my mom and little sister got the stomach flu.That's why I was stuck at home all day doing nothing.

So today I'm just going to post a few things that make me laugh or cheer me up, this way if anyone else is having a bad day or needs a laugh I can try and make their day and your day a little bit brighter!

Favorite Youtube videos to watch when I am sad:

I love watching these Youtube videos and I hope you get a kick out of them!
1. Shingeki no Kyojin Dance
This has to be the greatest and most hilarious dance video I have ever seen. I can't watch the anime OP without cracking up laughing.
2. Moustaches
This has to be one of my favorite songs. It's hilarious and I have the whole thing memorized. In fact I named my Magikarp Moustache after this song and because he has a fish mustache~
3. You Know What Time It Is
If anyone has seen Attack on Titan this is the greatest thing ever. ESPECIALLY the ending!! If you watch anything make sure you watch the ending.
4. Nicolas Cage- Wrecking Ball
Seriously, 8 seconds of your life brightened. Just watch this.
5. True Facts About The Duck
I'm not joking. Everyone please watch this. I am horrified of ducks.

If you ever have a bad day, hop on your unicorn and ride that bitch to imagination town. Haters gonna hate.

Remember that you are lucky enough to be a human and not a freaky inverted mermaid thing... or a duck.

Cat's are great creatures if you need a little more pussy in your life.

Embrace your weird sex fetishes. Suzaku will accept you.

Just walk it out. Also, Spider Man meme's solve everything.

18+
You all want the Hentai of the day now don't you?
Well instead of incest I found something great today! This is based off my favorite anime and my OTP <3
Enjoy~

Day 20: Hair Style!

The first one to come to mind was I would love Junko's hairstyle from Dangan Ronpa!
I mean seriously look at how fluffy and cute that is. I love her bangs, the clips are adorable, and her hair is wavy. It's CUTE! I would want pink hair though. Because it's anime and I can.

Well that's all for tonight everyone! Hope I brightened your day just a little bit!

SOME FUN UPDATES~ (why am I shouting at you guys?)

Hello everyone! It's the one, the only, Aggroe!
We almost have that truth or dare video done, so look forward to it soon! Also, I have a new playthrough for you guys~ Amnesia: The Dark Descent! This game is one that nearly everyone has heard of, and it is truly as terrifying as those before me have claimed. I WAS SO TERRIFIED! I played a bit of it before, up until the water monster, but that's as far as I got... I left it for a while, long enough to forget the majority of it, and then played it for you guys, so enjoy~
It will be up tomorrow since I'm too damn tired to edit and post it tonight...~
~~~~
First off, today's challenge! (and yesterday's too...~)
Day 14: Ending Theme
If my life were an anime, the ending theme would definitely be the opening to Dangan Ronpa. Yes, I realize that it's an OP... However, this song is epic, fun to listen to, and the lyrics are pretty great~ I feel like it's not only fun and catchy, but it also defines my life (abstractly, of course~)
I love it!
Day 15: Character Theme
My character theme would have to be something similar to this. I love it to death, and if the instrumental track to this defined my character, I might just die of happiness~! In fact, it might be this song itself, words and all, that I would pick as my character theme...~
Also, technically it counts...
There was an anime made from Sonic, and Sonic was originally a Japanese concept...
So it counts...!
~~~
Now, here's a little gem I found on the internet last night. It's not nerdy, but one of my FAVORITE things is pulling pranks. And here's the basis of my idea.
Sugarfree gummy bears! Seems harmless, right? I'm planning on setting them out in a candy dish at the next convention I go to. How nice of me!
Here are some GREAT reviews of the product~
(warning: these are pretty graphic descriptions, not for the faint of heart.)
It turns out these gummy bears are made with a sweetener called Lycasin, and there are some people in the world who are used to it, namely diabetics. BUT for the rest of us, Lycasin causes gastrointestinal distress. Lycasin poisoning is what these people are describing, even though some of them only ate 2 or 3 bears! How much did Haribo put in these little maniacs!?
Anyways, take this bag of sugar-free hellions, and grab a bag of normal, sweet gummy bears. Mix them together and put them in Next time you have go to a party, bring the mix... and watch your handiwork~ This is my plan~
...
Well, that's about it for now~
I'm soooo tired, but I'm about to work out with Anemone a bit before bed~
...
What? That sounded dirty?
Ha, that's not what I meant! We're gonna lift weights, and work towards our goals~ One day, we'll be THIS SEXY!! >:D
OH HOT DA-YUM!!
HER MILKSHAKE BRINGS ALL THE BOYS TO THE YARD!
Um...
Yeah.
I promise, this is still a nerdy blog~ This just happens to be a not-so-nerdy post...!
Good night, and sweet dreams~

Gaming Stuff~

Yo! So today, I want to talk about some of my most recent achievements, mostly gaming related because that's what I enjoy~
1. Super Hexagon
When I started playing this game, it was a major rage game for me! You can find a download online for about 3 dollars, and it provides a TON of fun~ In this game, there's a hexagon in the center, and an arrow. You move the arrow around the hexagon to dodge the glowing panels to the beat of techno music. It is... painful. At least until you get used to it~
I spend maybe 30 minutes/an hour a day playing. Anyways, the ultimate rage game. This game always left me angry for the first week, and I couldn't even get past 15 seconds! It takes 60 seconds to beat each level, and there are 6... 3 must be unlocked, though. I want to show you guys my accomplishments in this game because FUCK YES I AM HAPPY~!

Here is a screencap of my high score from level 1~ A whopping 60 seconds and 28 seconds! By beating it, I unlocked Hexagon - Hyper Mode!

These are levels 2 and 3... Haven't beaten them yet, but I'm almost there!... Sort of.

Here is level 1's Hyper Mode. It's fun, but pretty difficult...

2. Alice: Madness Returns
So it turns out, Anemone own a game called Alice: Madness Returns. It's on the Xbox 360, PC, and probably the PS3. Basically, this is a sequel to American McGee's Alice, both of which are twisted versions of the children's tale Alice in Wonderland. Alice is mentally unstable due to the fire that killed her whole family, and she escapes to "Wonderland", a creation of her mind to protect her from reality.
Anemone's favorite dress is the rightmost one, mine is the second from the left~
I beat it a few hours ago and had a lot of fun! It's not all that challenging, but there are a lot of extras and special content, plus it's.... Well, it's terrifying. In the part with the Queen of Heart, the Red Queen, Alice has to crush all of her hearts and is then sort of eaten by the Red Queen. Creepy.
This is from the intro sequence. I love it!
This is "Hysteria Mode". When Alice's health gets low, you can activate it.
I am starting a New Game+, and hopefully will have a lot more fun with it~
3. Hula Hooping
I'm not very good at it, but hula hooping is helping me lose weight even though I fail miserably~ It's a lot of fun though, Anemone and I go and dance to music outside with our roommate and our hula hoops. So cool!
I don't have a picture for this one, sorry...~
~~~
Now for January's challenge~ I also realize that neither Anemone nor Myself listed what the 31-Day January Challenge entailed exactly, so here's the list! Feel free to share on Facebook and use it yourself or whatever~
Day 4: Best Male Friend
If I could pick any guy from any anime to be my best friend, it would probably be Naegi from Dangan Ronpa.
He's a bit melodramatic, but he's fairly clever and intelligent. I could have an intelligent conversation with him. Despite that, he also enjoys just having fun and living life. I feel like outside of the Dangan Ronpa-verse he would be pretty adventurous, judging by how he acts, so I know that we could also have a ton of fun.
Yeah.
~~~
So that's about it~ I recently started playing the Assassin's Creed series, and am also playing Amneisa: Dark Descent, and I might post playthroughs if I feel like it...~

Aggroe's belated anime talk~

Good morning all!
I finished watching Dangan Ronpa: Zetsubou no Gakuen to Kibou no Koukousei (Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Despair and Students of Hope) last night, as I was planning to post this review then.
So I really like this genre of anime, and I'll probably be biased towards it. Murder mysteries, connection to the characters, I really like that whole theme.
Dangan Ronpa is based off of a PSP game of the same name. It's pretty cool, actually, I wish I could get my hands on it. The basic storyline is that there is a school for talented/famous high schoolers. EVERYONE wants into this school. They are entered based on talent, but every year, when freshmen enter, there is one chosen as the "Super Duper Lucky High Schooler". Their talent is luck, or lack thereof as you will see later. There are 15 students in total. These 15 freshman soon find out that it isn't an ordinary school. Not only are they trapped, but in order to graduate, they have to slaughter each other!

I give the OP theme 5/5, it had a cool upbeat song, and the pictures and sequences were just generally epic.
The premis is very interesting. I really enjoyed it, the first episode captured my attention. Curiosity was piqued from the very beginning. Naegi, the lucky one this time around, wakes up in the school. Why? How did he get here? Was this Hope's Peak Academy? Why are all the windows and doors sealed?

Sakura-chan
Yasuhiro-kun
I also liked the characters a lot. Every character had something unique, and every one of them challenged social norms in some way. Despite being buff and masculine, Sakura-chan is a gentle, kind girl who enjoys tea with her friends... She is just strong. Yasuhiro is actually into things like tarot cards and crystal balls, sort of a mystic~. Social norms are challenged and broken, and I love that! Any anime that does that is a good one in my books. I won't tell you the others, as many of them are important to the storyline and spoilers are for later, but here's a few of my favorite characters.

"AHO AHO AHO!"
-Leon
Sybil anyone?
....
Fukawa, her name is Fukawa
Chihiro-san, the Programmer

I give the character design 4.5/5, all the characters had something to bring to the story, and all of them were unique and intriguing.
The ending was magnificent.
~SPOILER ALERT~
As far as the ending is concerned, I really liked the ambiguousness of it all. There was no reason to show us the outside world, so they left it up to our imagination. It was wonderful. I had a feeling that was where they were heading, and it was nice.
Although, I didn't see Enoshima being the mastermind. That was kind of a shock, I'll admit. At first it seemed like Deus Ex Machina, but it actually fit very well. All the clues led to it, and I don't see how I didn't see it coming.
~END SPOILER ALERT~
Still, it felt sort of like they could have done better with the revealing of the mastermind.
I give the ending 4/5, as I liked it, but I feel that it could've been a lot better. It was sort of anti-climactic.
The art in this show is beautiful, I really like the way it flowed. There are parts where the art style switches, such as the death scenes, but I enjoyed the change. I give the art 5/5.

All in all, for an anime based on a video game, Dangan Ronpa is a well drawn show with unique, interesting character that really makes you think about the world. There is a lot to ponder in it, especially once you see the ending. What will a person will do for freedom? Dangan Ronpa asks us this question and offers up its own answer.
.....
Also, it's just extremely entertaining~
Aggroe's Overall Rating: 9/10
