Hunger Games and a LOT of muscles!

Hello Everyone!
Anemone here! Sorry for not posting yesterday. I was having one of those bad off days. Aggroe let it slide~ So I've never been good at shooter games..... or zombie games either because I am terrified of them >.> Today I played Left4Dead 2 with my boyfriend. Of course he totally kicked my butt, but I killed 65 zombies!! (This is a big deal for me because I suck... >.>) Which is DOUBLE the last score I got.
I don't know if that's something to brag about but whatever. I'm proud!
Also Aggroe made me something very sweet today! I have horrible nightmares and night terrors (I also have sleep paralysis) so sometimes I have a lot of trouble sleeping. We wake up early to go to the gym and I'm usually in a pretty bad/groggy mood when I wake up.
So today she made me a dream pouch! It's basically a small bag of herbs (sage, rosemary, and sea salt) with an amethyst in it. I put it under my pillow and think nice thoughts before I go to sleep and It's supposed to help me control my bad dreams and give me good ones! I'm pretty excited about it actually.
I'll let you guys know what kind of awesome dreams I have tonight, tomorrow!
Anyways enough about my random things! ^^" Let's get onto the nerdy-ness shall we!?

This last week I've recently been reading the Hunger Games. My sister loaned me all 3 books to read! I'm a very slow reader and my goal is 52 books in a year. Though I've read almost 1 book in a month. (I may be a tad bit dyslexic 0.o) I read and write very slowly.
Anyways! Hunger Games! I am loving this book. In fact the movie is NOTHING compared to the book! I watched the first one when it first came out to theatres. I thought it was kinda sad and had a good story but it had very little character connection or growth. The book fills in all of those missing gaps for me! I see Gale as a totally different person than who I saw him as in the movies. 
Most of the time when you watch a movie before reading the books you see the characters as the ones from the movie right? That's not happening here. I see Kattnis with darker olive skin, very thin, dark blackish hair. Whereas in the movie she has white skin and brown hair. 
So far I'm really enjoying this book! For anyone who loves the Hunger Games movies or just needs a good book to read I definitely recommend it!

CHALLANGES!
Day 26- Place to Live:

If I were to live in any anime universe I would choose the anime Kill la Kill! I'd get an amazing school uniform with super powers and I could be as half naked, lewd, and freaking weird as I wanted to and I wouldn't even stand out. I'd be considered a normal human being. 
I'd also totally go after Tsumugu because that sewing machine gun though ;)

Day 27- House You'd Live In:

I would for sure without a doubt choose to live in the house from Brothers Conflict. Giant mansion filled with hot boys my age? Yes please! Do I even need to explain why I'd choose this house?

ALRIGHT hello everyone! This post will be surprisingly short, the reason being... Well, this might make me sound like a weakling, but the gym today hurt... I was using one of those weight lifting machines that they make you use in middle school, and I did 2 sets, 100 reps each! To be fair, I was only lifting 2 lbs... That wasn't all I did, though~!
Also elliptical for nearly 30 mins at a mid resistance, bench press (5 sets, 15 reps each, 10 lbs), and some squats.
FUCK YEAH

Day 17: Childhood friend
If my life were an anime, I would want my childhood friend to be Aikuro Mikisugi from Kill La Kill.

This guy is completely absolutely crazy, but he just... He's just wonderful in his own perverted way. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily love perverted guys, but I can't take him seriously, and it cracks me up~ A childhood friend should make you laugh, and should be someone you can tell anything to. I think that he would be that. Someone I could laugh at, who'd mock me in return. It would be SO MUCH FREAKING FUN!

News and Fun Stuff!

It's been a few days since I last posted, I know... But here I am!
So recently I've been watching some anime recently, some from this season and others not. I'll do a short little blurb about what I thought of each one.
1. Kotoura-san

This anime is a slice-of-life. These aren't typically my thing, but this one (if you ignore the melodrama) isn't too bad~ Basically, a girl (Kotoura) is born with the ability to read minds, but because of this, people start to fear and hate her. Eventually she meets a pervert who refuses to leave her alone, and he is pretty cool. His name is Manabe. My favorite character, however, is this super short kid in the ESP club who... well, he likes to read, and he has a dark/morbid sense of humor~
Aggroe's rating: 6.5/10
I don't love it, but it's certainly not the worst thing I've ever watched.
2. Witchcraft Works

I definitely have to say that this is one of my FAVORITES this season! Basically, there's a guy who's rescued by a witch (who's the most popular girl in school... and she's rich). Her job as a witch is to protect him, though I don't know why yet. Only one episode is out. She calls him her princess, and that just cracks me up. Also, the ending theme is an adorable tribute to a horrible incident, the Salem Witch trials~
Also... just LOOK AT HER UNREALISTICALLY LARGE AND PERKY BOOBS! XD Beautiful~ She has a giant lesbian following in the school, too. It's pretty wonderful.

I really like it, in fact I love it, but because of the way they set up the first episode, I think that any emotional content won't be taken seriously.
3. Kill La Kill

I've talked about this one a bit, but I wanted to add it in here because I LOVE THIS ANIME TO DEATH!
Basically, there's a teenage girl who's looking for the person responsible for her
dad's death. She ends up getting in touch with her father's last creation, Kamui (Godrobe) Senketsu. It's a type of armor/outfit that is BEAUTIFULLY WONDERFUL~ And basically it's... a lot of nonsense, but it's also got some sad, deep moments without being too cheesy. I love it more than words can describe!

There's always room for improvement, but this is funny, sad, has unique artwork that is at times PSG-esque and at others, very awesome and serious looking. The music is good. The naming sense it just... Wow. In a good way. I love it, and wouldn't want it to change in any way~

4. Starry Sky

This anime is based off of the visual novel series I'm translating of the same name, and it's pretty interesting~ The drama CDs are all about romance, but this anime in mostly about the development of the characters. Who they are, what they've been through, why they act the way they do... They are the personification of the star signs, and as such, they fill stereotypes... but it's still worth a watch if character development, horoscopes, and attractive anime guys are your thing~

This anime isn't for everyone, despite being great. I really enjoy the character development bit, and the fact that personifying horoscopes is an AWESOME idea~ They geared it towards girls waaaaay too much, however.
5. Another

I can't explain much about this anime without spoiling it, but basically, it's a horror/mystery. I really enjoyed it~ It's dark, sad... it's not all that funny, and there's a lot of character death. My favorite death scene is when a girl's eye is impaled by her own umbrella...~ But yeah. It's interesting and makes you think. It's definitely worth a watch~ Though I personally preferred the manga.

I really enjoyed this. The art is good, and once you see the backstory, it's really quite wonderful~ Very sad, and it makes you think.

Day 5 ~ Best Female Friend
For this, I would probably pick Misty from Pokemon. Cliche as hell, I know~

My favorite female character from Pokemon is probably May, just because I grew up with the seasons she was a part of, but Misty's always held a special place in my heart. She's cute, peppy, fun, and just generally awkward. Also, she's a 16 year old WHO RUNS A GYM! Talk about making your dreams come true~ She would be fun to tease, as well. Her reactions are just too great~

Day 6: Boyfriend

I'd probably pick Matt from Death Note.

He's a gamer, like me. It's true that I'm not big on smokers, but I could get over that. He has a good fashion sense, or at least an attractive one, and he'd leave me alone if I was in the middle of a level in a game. He's chill, down to earth, and kind of funny, too. Plus, we could DESTROY THE WORLD TOGETHER IN FABLE! I think that's a MUCH more romantic outing than a long walk on the beach~ Take over the world with me and I will love you forever~

Day 7: Girlfriend

This one is difficult because there are so many girls to choose from...~ I'd probably pick Lilly's sister, Akira, from Katawa Shoujo, if visual novels count.

What the hell, right? Not only is she from a visual novel, but she's not even a main character! Well, I have a good reason to pick her. She has gorgeous eyes, and her personality is pretty funny, though she can be serious when she needs to be. I think I have a soft spot for people who understand what's going on, but pretend not to... Instead they just pull the strings.

Also, I have a soft spot for crossdressers, male or female. Maybe it's because I'm jealous that they can so easily swap between being male and female, or maybe I just think it's hot...~ Whatever the reason, I love crossdressing characters~
Day 8: Pet

My anime pet would have to be Chuck from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.

He's retarded and adorable, plus he'd be useful in a battle~ Just throw him at the enemy, they'll run away very VERY quickly!
Day 9: Weapon

I would most definitely pick (another cliche) Cloud's Buster Sword from the Final Fantasy series!

This sword is one of the most beautiful, powerful, wonderful things I've ever seen~ I'd love to cut down powerful armies with this, watch them all fall and KNEEL BEFORE ME! Well, it's actually just because it's cool~ I doubt I'd be able to lift it as I am now...
Day 10: Unnatural Power
For this, I would have to say, I'd want Kotoura's ability to read minds, from the anime Kotoura-san.

I don't particularly want to read minds, but it would be extremely useful, in both day-to-day situations and in epic battles. Also, it'd be GREAT for chess and PvP games~ It's not cheating if you can't control the power!

Besides that, I have some fun news~
I saw the Hobbit 2 in theaters Monday, and it was beautiful and perfect~
Since it's late now, and this post is already super fucking long, I'll leave it at that and do a review in the morning~

ALL THE NEW ANIME!

Hello Everyone!
So I've got some awesome new stuff going on at the moment!
First off sharing a few of the shows I'm watching! This season I am continuing Nagi no Asukara, Golden Time, and Kill La Kill that I have mentioned in an earlier post. If you don't remember any of these or want to see the post then just click the link below!

A few other new anime that I am starting are D-Frag! and Witch Craft Works!
D-Frag! is about a boy named Kenji that somehow ends up in a game creation club... In the most terrifying way with four psychotic girls. This anime freaked me out and I'm still going to watch it because it's HILARIOUS. And what I mean by 'freak me out' well... just watch it.

Witch Craft Works is an anime about a boy who is saved by a witch and ends up going to a school with several witches that are out to get him! Yikes! I liked the first episode so I'll keep watching it. Again, another anime filled with INSANE girls.

Day 7: Your Anime Girlfriend?

I would want my girlfriend to be Kaga-san from Golden Time. She would always know where I am, what I am doing, who I am with, and what I want. She's always be by my side and know everything about me. As creepy as that seems to others I think I would totally LOVE HER!

Day 8: Pet?

To be quite honest I would want a pokemon as a pet. Preferably Charmander! Charzard was my favorite in the anime because he was too sassy to be bossed around my Ash... So he just didn't listen to him. It was hilarious. I would choose Jiggly Puff except that I sleep to much anyways! My third choice would be Pikachu because pikachu would just be my best friend forever XD

Finally, it's 2014!

So today, I wasn't sure what I was going to talk about because I'm now a boring adult. Then I remembered something Anemone came up with, ad promptly forgot about~ Maybe this post will remind her!
We are doing a 31 day challenge! Basically, our anime life! Each day is a new thing, and basically forming our own anime with concepts already present and shit.
So yeah. I'll do days 1-3 right now, as it's technically the 3rd where I am~
Day 1 - Yandere/Yangire
I would definitely go with the Yangire Rena Ryuuguu from Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (When They Cry).

She's super cute and happy, very bubbly. Whenever she sees something she thinks is cute, she goes into "cute mode" (as named by her friends) and will do ANYTHING to take it home with her! This can be anything from the statue that stands outside of KFC restaurants, to Keiichi's "sea bear", and to Satoko in a maid costume. She especially likes the "adorable" faces of crying people~

This sweet, feminine, shy girl also has a dark side, obviously.

She snaps. And when she snaps, she REALLY snaps! Scary, yet adorable~

Day 2 - Tsundere
My tsundere would be Nanami Kanata from the Starry Sky series.

He represents the Pisces (or at least the stereotype) and is super adorable! He'll go from being all lovey-dovey in one minute to embarrassed and lashing out in the next. My favorite example took place when he (in the Drama CD, which is the basis for the anime and based on the visual novels) was woken up by his girlfriend in the morning, and she wanted to hear his "sweet whispers". He started off all romantic and then, within a few seconds (it might have been a minute) he stopped and started flipping the fuck out. "I didn't mean any of it! What the hell! You know I'm weak in the morning, stupid!" and stuff. It was hilarious~
Day 3 - Mecha/Giant Robot/Armor
My pick would be a suit of armor, as I'm not too well versed in mecha anime. I would pick Kamui Senketsu from Kill la Kill.

It's true, the armor's skimpy... (Female armor always is)... BUT IT CAN STOP FUCKING BULLETS! THIS THING IS AMAZING! With Senketsu, she can be CRUSHED by mechs, and just brush it off as a GODDAMN SCRATCH! Also, look at that underboobage! *fangasm*

Anyways, yeah. I really like both the Kamui but I would definitely pick Senketsu because he looks more badass~

Well that's it for the daily January challenge~ I'm still busy with moving in and stuff, but yeah.
Also, Anemone mentioned it, but we were at NewCon! It was my first convention ever, and my cosplay (as it was arranged the day before) wasn't as great as I had hoped it would be, but I had a great time~ I saw some Kill la Kill cosplays, a Daenarys, Aang, the Amazing Spiderman, LOTS of Shingeki no Kyojin, and some other stuff.
I did take some pictures and videos, but they're on a friend's camera/SD card and she can't get the pictures to me for another two weeks...
*cries in a corner*
Yeah... Anyways, that's about it~
Oh yeah, more good news! Anemone and I are going to start weekly vlogs in cosplay! She's going to do Anemone from Eureka 7, and I will be fem!Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club, that anime was my childhood...~
We have backstories and tons of ideas, hers will be on Fridays and mine on Sundays. Look forward to it!
I know that I'm behind on my playthroughs too, but I'll start them back up again when I have a cool backdrop~ X3 I'm working on decorating my wall with lovely things~~

Anemone's Top 3 Anime

Hey Everyone!
Figured I'd post about my newest favorite anime that's ongoing right now. To be quite honest there was nothing I was really interested in watching for this season until some friends recommended some good ones to me!

1. Nagi No Asukara.

This anime has to be my favorite of the moment. This anime is basically about how fish people and humans can't get along. There's a few kids in the show that try to get enough people together to celebrate a holiday where humans and fish people get along together. What happens if they fail? The sea god will freeze the earth. It's very racial.

My favorite thing about this anime is the art. I love how all of the sea people have pretty, bright blue eyes! My favorite character has to be Hikari or Hii-kun. All of my friends hate him because he is a major Tsundere and always picks on his crush. Yeah but I totally love him!

2. Golden Time

This anime is about a boy with amnesia that goes to a new school. He falls in love with a beautiful girl and at the same time begins to regain his memories about his middle school crush. It's a bit sad when you think of it. I absolutely love how emotional this anime gets. I love really emotional/dramatic anime and this has to be one of the best romance anime I've ever seen because I can connect with it so well! Not all relationships are happy with normal people.


My favorite character is Koko because she is insane. No seriously. She will haunt you down and force you to love her. I love how random she is!

3. Kill La Kill

Lastly I am also watching Kill La Kill. Which is my least favorite only because I can't relate to it nearly as well. I love how hilarious and over the top it is! It's fun to watch if you want something silly and out of control. Somehow the art style and over the topness (yeah that's not a word >.>) and pervertedness somehow remind me of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt.



My favorite character is Tsumugu because his weapon is a freaking SEWING MACHINE! Did anyone else notice that? Seriously he's epic.

Also Nonon. She is pink. Her weapon is a heart shaped spaceship that's powered by music and shoots pink hearts. Your argument is invalid.
